Sector — Fresh fruit

Fresh fruit, kept fresh all the way

Local, seasonal and imported fruit, selected with care and moved on a managed cold chain so it arrives in the condition it was bought in.

The offer

The value is lost in transit — so that is where we spend

Fruit is the least forgiving thing we trade. A consignment can be bought perfectly and still arrive worthless if it spends an afternoon on a hot loading bay. Everything we do in this sector is built around that single risk.

We buy local and seasonal produce close to harvest, import the varieties Iraqi buyers ask for out of season, and hold both in temperature-controlled storage matched to the product rather than to whatever room is free.

Cold chain

Four points where fruit is usually lost

  • On intake — pre-cooled and graded before it goes anywhere near a rack.
  • In storage — temperature and humidity set per product, not per warehouse.
  • In transit — refrigerated vehicles, loaded in delivery sequence to cut door-opening time.
  • At handover — condition checked and recorded with you, not after you have signed.

Seasonality

When Iraqi fruit is at its best

Local harvest windows shift year to year with the weather. Imported supply fills the gaps, so most lines can be quoted outside their local season too.

Indicative windows only — harvest timing varies by season and governorate.

FAQ

Common questions

Do you supply imported fruit out of season?

Yes. Where local supply has finished for the year, we import the same varieties so a line can stay on your shelf continuously.

How is fruit graded?

Against size, colour, firmness and defect tolerance agreed with you before purchase. Grading standards are set per consignment and checked on intake.

Can you handle export consignments?

Yes. We prepare Iraqi produce for export, including packing, certification and shipping documentation.

What happens if a consignment arrives short of specification?

It is recorded at handover, before you sign. We agree the remedy — replacement, credit or a price adjustment — rather than leaving you with it.
